Proposed Drilling and Production Regulations under COGOA and the Accord Acts published in the Canada Gazette, Part I

Proposed Drilling and Production Regulations under the Canada Oil and Gas Operations Act, the Canada-Newfoundland Atlantic Accord Implementation Act and the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act were published in the Canada Gazette, Part I on 18 April 2009.

The Drilling and Production Regulations are an amalgamation and modernization of existing Drilling Regulations and the Production and Conservation Regulations that currently exist, in mirror form, under the three Acts.

The Regulations and the Regulatory Impact Analysis Statement are available on the Canada Gazette website.

There is a 45-day comment period.

Interested persons may make representations with respect to the proposed Regulations to the Minister of Natural Resources and the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development by Tuesday 2 June 2009.

All representations must cite the Canada Gazette, Part I, the date of publication (18 April 2009) and be addressed to:
