The National Energy Board (NEB) held an open forum on May 27 and 28, 2009 in Calgary to provide information about the Board's ongoing compliance initiatives, including goal-oriented regulation and pending changes to current NEB regulations.
Technical experts from both industry and the NEB discussed relevant, real-life examples in emergency management, safety and the COGOA northern frontier experiences including lessons learned from the 2007 Kinder Morgan Canada crude oil pipeline spill in Burnaby, BC and the 2007 Enbridge pipeline explosion at Clearbrook, Minnesota.
