Video Stories - Gaétan Caron - Transcript

Hello my name is Gaétan Caron I'm Chair of the National Energy Board. In the last year, we have been celebrating 50 years of regulatory excellence. We've been visiting various parts of the country, meeting people. Meeting past Board members and employees. Meeting with many people who had business to do with the National Energy Board and its people.

Throughout the year we've taken videos, we've written stories, we've taken photographs. We do believe and we do hope that this legacy that we have built in the last year will help you think of the past, reflect on it, savor the present, and imagine the future. You have built an important part of the Board's legacy by so doing. I want to say thank you to all of you.

I want to say thank you to all our employees past and present.

Thank you to the families and spouses of our employees who have supported them throughout the journey.

Thank you to the people who rely on the Board to conduct their business.

Thank you to the many people who were affected by the business of the Board and who have participated in our processes.

Thank you to our partners, such as consultants, and other regulatory agencies with whom we have partnered over the years.

We owe you greatly and our commitment to you is that we will cherish this legacy we will build on it serving the Canadian public interest.
