Hi, my name is Jean Bergeron, and I worked at the National Energy Board from 1982 to 1992. Not only was this my first job with the federal public service, it was my first job! And the Board was an excellent training ground. I have great memories of my time at the Board, an organization that focuses on its people. Since leaving the Board I've worked in other federal departments, with thousands of employees who don't really know each other. But during my time at the Board, from 1982 to 1992, most employees knew each other. Just to give you an idea of what a friendly place the Board is, I remember the Chairman at that time, Rolland Priddle, saying hello to me when he got on the elevator, even though I was a relatively junior employee. I have very good memories of the Board, and wish you all a happy 50th Anniversary.
