Bonjour, je m'appelle Manfred Klein. I was with the NEB from 1980 to 1991. That's the government department I learned the most of in, in terms of my jobs after university in pipeline engineering. I worked for Franci Jeglic for ten years, a very good boss and Gaétan and Russ at the same time. My fondest memories were my inspection trips were I learned lots in the field. I took Gaétan once in awhile out to some of the field visits and just my interactions with the company there. We had our team picnics, our NEB picnics, our hockey games and things like that. My most embarrassing moment was when I fell down in a three-legged race with Franci Jeglic. What I am doing now is that I'm with the National Research Council of Canada working in gas turbine research and the various industries that deal with gas turbines. I spent sixteen years at Environment Canada as well on emissions issues.
I would like to wish the NEB a happy 50th anniversary in November and best of luck to all the colleagues that will be in Ottawa and in Calgary.
