NEB Announces Hearing Location for the South Peace pipeline application

The National Energy Board (NEB) today announced that the hearing for the Spectra Energy (Westcoast Energy Inc.) South Peace pipeline application will be held in Dawson Creek, B.C., at the Best Western Hotel & Suites, 500 Highway #2, Dawson Creek.

The hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, 26 August, 2008.

In addition, NEB staff will hold an information session for hearing participants to describe how the hearing will unfold. This session will take place at 7:00 p.m. the night before the hearing, Monday, 25 August, 2008, in the same location.

Journalists intending to cover the NEB hearing in Dawson Creek should please notify the NEB Communications Officer for planning purposes.

An audio broadcast of the hearing will be available on the NEB web site, www.neb-one.gc.ca. Hearing transcripts are posted to the NEB web site the next day.
