ACE Technical Conference Final Report Now Available

July 10, 2018

NEB-regulated pipeline companies are required to set aside money to pay for the future abandonment of their pipelines. The amount of money a company must set aside is called an abandonment cost estimate or ACE. We work collaboratively with affected stakeholders to refine and advance the abandonment cost estimates framework based on research, innovation and actual abandonment experience. In November, 2017, we hosted a Technical Conference to talk about how the ACE framework could be refined.

The NEB’s report summarizing the discussions and findings from the Technical Conference is now available on our website.
